I am Triya Sinha, a high school visual artist whose work explores the complexities of cultural identity through the lens of detailed still-life painting. Inspired by the meticulous realism of William Harnett, I choose everyday objects—the small, often-overlooked things around us—and arrange them into narrative-rich compositions.
My work reflects the dialogue between my Indian roots, Australian citizenship, and American upbringing. Through careful observation, textures, and symbolic arrangements, I use still life to capture both the quiet harmony and the natural tensions of living across three distinct cultures. By transforming ordinary items into meaningful moments, I aim to reveal the hidden beauty, strength, and rich stories embedded in our everyday lives.
In an era where identity is increasingly scrutinized, scanned, and cataloged, visual art remains one of our most powerful tools for exploring what it truly means to belong, I try to bring that in my expressions.
